01
Wael has taught Arabic singing and oud in Dubai and online since 2023 through Wael's Arabesque, after around fifteen years of teaching and performing in Egypt, Oman and Kuwait. He studied music education at Minia University, then taught students of many backgrounds and ages. His approach is calm and structured: he starts from the student's level and builds the technical foundation before maqam and performance.
His lessons combine the foundations of Arabic singing and maqam with a clear educational method: posture and plectrum on the oud, breathing and pitch in singing first, then maqam, performance and expression.
His studies in art therapy made him attentive to the human side of learning: that students feel at ease and confident, and that music is a space for expression rather than a source of anxiety. He brings his compositional craft into lessons: how a melodic phrase is built and how a maqam is expressed.
